We should start planning this now. Keep in mind that compasses cannot be improved, so we need to have high ql materials. So what we need from different groups:
1. Smiths: We need lots of high ql needles.
2. Carpenters: Several high ql fruit presses, so the hippies can press the olives into high ql olive juice. There's one sitting in the workshop, so that one can be imped. I guess 3 or 4 will be enough. 3. Potter: Somebody needs to step up and make lots of high ql jars. So a digger needs to set up a good supply of clay. If you need a spatula and clay shaper, ask a carpenter and they will make them. (Merp has pottery at 13. Does anybody have higher?)
Compasses are within our grasp! I have no idea how bad our first batch will turn out. I'm hoping for a few ql 20 compasses, but we'll see. Good luck!

There are ql 10 spatulas and wood shapers in the small barrel by the token. Talk to me or a carpenter if you need a better one.

Olives go into season this Saturday according to one season calculator. So we'll need a few more sickles to rummage the olive forest with.

My pottery is up to 20 now, just need some better clay (I'm aiming for 40QL jars).
Anyone know how sickle skill affects the quality of olives you harvest? Or does it just increase chance / decrease time? If skill is a factor, I'd recommned people work over the target dummies with dual sickles for a while, might be the best way to get fast skill with a tool (at least to 20)

Sickles are in the Tool Chest across the street from the Iron Mine (next to Argus's Farm). Someone with better Weaponsmithing may need to up their QL.

The weapon/tool skill itself doesn't seem to have a big effect on the outcome.

Does 50 jars and 50 needles seem like an impossible goal? I don't know if we'll get enough high ql olive oil to justify that much work, but who knows?

I'll start on the fruit presses now.
Edit: There's now a 16Ql fruit press in the carpentry workshop, and my Fine Carpentry isn't good enough to improve it any further.

High quality clay, huh? I'll get on that. Where should I leave the clay? Any particular place?

You see a mature olive tree. The olives will soon be ripe.

So it's friday. Loras has skillfully made ~10 high ql needles, and will make more. Merp is nearing 40 pottery, and has 30 30ql jars. The fruit presses are made; I'll imp one of them to 35 today for maximum juices.
The pieces are falling into place.

I'm starting to bring up some of the 30QL pots to 40QL for firing. Expect some finished pots tonight.
