I've got at least a couple cherry sprouts on my character, and happened to harvest several cherries while re-exploring the mountain valley paths, which are littered with cherries.
Man, do cherries decay fast.
Anyway, I had intended to plant them on the three 5x5 orchard areas around my plot, but up until now didn't know they were actually used for anything. Guess I'll stick with the plan for 50 or so cherry trees.

there are easy 6 or 7 hundred cherry trees across the lake.
